YOU HAVE ARRIVED
RESISTANCE TO SMILING IS FUTILE! :)

Welcome to my Star Trek parody and music website. I am Rick Moyer. I am a self proclaimed geek and host of the podcast TAKE HIM WITH YOU. I love science fiction and especially Star Trek.
The last couple of years I have been involved in an online community called
treksinscifi.com with Rico Dostie. It's a podcast and forums full of people who share the love of science fiction.
Every week Rico reviews an episode of Star Trek from one of the series. My son Nathan and I  send in weekly audio submissions and along the way I started doing some science fiction parodies.
Here they are for your listening pleasure. None of these are for sale, as they are for entertainment purposes only and I don't make a dime from them.
Enjoy the music and drop me a line if you like some of the songs.

Worf's Wedding NEW! 2/14/10

Worf's Wedding

The Klingons are here! Treks in Sci Fi is covering the Klingons in his week's podcast. I combined Billy Idol and Worf's Wedding. I hope you enjoy it!

Just what we needed

Just what we needed

As a kid growing up in the 80's I had all of The Cars albums. I just loved them. So when Rico decided to cover the TNG episode of The Most Toys, I just couldn't resist. It's my all time favorite Star Trek Next Generation episode. So I took that line that Riker says to Kivas Fajo, that the Enterprise was sure fortunate that Kivas had just enough Hytridium. I know, this is really geeky, but oh so fun! Thus, Just what we needed was born. Enjoy!

Frodo & Sam

Frodo & Sam

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is a stunning set of books and movies. For Rico Dostie's Treks in Sci Fi podcast I created this parody for The Fellowship Of the Ring first part. It's to John Mellencamp's Jack and Diane. Enjoy Frodo & Sam.

Updated Space Saga (Trekmas song)
And Alien World NEW

Updated Space Saga
Alien World

II took the song "Sleigh Ride" and talked about the new Star Trek Movie. hehehee. have fun with it and don't forget to have a Merry Trekmas! I also just added Alien world, instead of Joy to the world. :)

You kissed your brother by Nathan Moyer

You kissed your brother

My son Nathan loves music almost more than I do!  He also loves Star Wars, so this was a natural when it came to hearing Katy Perry.. so here you go, Luke and and sister get in some trouble right here. Download and then try to get it out of your head!! Good job Nathan.

Nanananananana! (The Bionic Man Song)

Nanananananana! (The Bionic Man Song)

Growing up Steve Austin (not the wrestler) was my hero. He was the Bionic Man! Oscar Goldman, Rudy Wells, Callhan, Jaimie Summers, the list goes on with the characters I came to know and love. So I wrote a song for it. Now, after you hear it, you can make the bionic sound for days on end. Nanananananaanana!

Dr. Starfleet Man

Dr. Starfleet Man

Deep Space Nine was such a great story telling show. Dr Bashir was a really great character- so I wrote the lyrics about him and did it to the tune of Secret Agent Man. Enjoy!

Elephants in the Ready Room

Elephants in the Ready Room

Chain of Command is a two part episode of Star Trek The Next Generation. I really dig that episode where Captain Picard is replaced by Captain Jellico. At one point during the show Counselor Troi visits with the captain as he shares pictures from home. One is a little stick figure drawing of an elephant. I just couldn't resist, and thus "Elephants in the Ready Room was born to the tune of Smokin in the boys room. Enjoy!

Stayin' Alien Alive

Stayin' Alien Alive

Alien was one of the scariest science fiction movies ever made. eeeeek. So I figures since the movie was all about staying alive, that I couldn't resist doing a parody of "Stayin' Alive" heheheh. Enjoy. Be careful Riley!

Spock's Brain

Spock's Brain

In honor of the 4th Anniversary of Treks In Sci Fi I put together a very fun parody song. I used to really enjoy Ozzy's music and after wearing out my cassette tape with Crazy Train on it, it came as no surprise that I had to do "Spock's Brain" I thought that it was a very fun episode- kind of a clunker, so enjoy re-living it. And congratulations to Rico for the 4th anniversary of the podcast!

It's Nomad

It's Nomad

The TOS episode "The Changeling" is really a fun episode. We get to see a cool robot, Uhura's mind wiped, Scotty killed off and more! I took Linda Rondstadt's song "Hurt so bad" and changed it up a bit. Now it's called "It's Nomad" enjoy.

The Caped Crusader

The Caped Crusader

II have always thought that Batman was cool. He was the only super hero that I knew of that didn't have powers. He used his head and his gadgets to catch the criminals. How cool is that? So here is my tribute to him. The Caped Crusader.

That thing with Q

That thing with Q

Qpid is one of my favorite TNG episodes. This is where Picard is dressed in Robin Hood clothes and has to rescue his love from the castle before she is married to Sir Guy. So I took the song "That thing you do" and wrote it from Picard's point of view and thus "That thing with Q" was born. ENJOY!

Energize (it's too late)

Energize

One Republic's song "Apologize" was given new strength because of Amercian Idol this season. As I was listening to the song Nathan and I came up with- "It's too late to energize" So he urged me by writing most of the lyrics and getting me the soundtrack. Thus the new parody song was produced. I have an alternate version coming out on video called "it's too late to eat these fries" - exploring cold french fries at McDonalds. Should be fun. Look for it on my youtube channel. http://www.youtube/rickmoyer777

The Treks In Sci Fi Mash Up

The Treks In Sci Fi Mash Up

I got to interview Rico for his podcast this week. So I thought I would give a shout out to a bunch of the regulars on the Treks in Sci Fi forum. Enjoy!

Help Tom

Help Tom

This week Rico covered the TNG episode "Second Chances" the one where unbeknown to Riker he was split in two eight years prior in a transporter and atmospheric accident. Well, I love the Beatles, and I love Star Trek.. so here you go. HELP!

The Blue or the Red Pill

The Blue or the Red Pill

Rico covered the Matrix trilogy on Treks in Sci fi this week. Nathan, my son, and I decided to write a short industrial rave song called "The Blue or the Red Pill" Not many lyrics, but a lot of fun. Nathan did the keys, I did the mixing and vocals. It ended up being like 7 or 8 tracks of geeky goodness. Enjoy and let us know what you think of it!

Unimatrix 01 Seven of Nine

Unimatrix 01 Seven of Nine

There is just something about Tommy Tutone that pulls on my rock n roll roots. When Rico talked about covering the Seven of Nine heavy episode of Voyager called Dark Frontier, I thought about doing something about Seven of Nine. My friend Jen from the Anomaly podcast suggested I try the Tommy Tutone song. And here we are. Enjoy!

Happy Anniversary Anomaly Podcast

Happy Anniversary Anomaly Podcast

I love listening to my friend Angela and Jen's podcast called Anomaly! http://www.anomalypodcast.com They recently celebrated their one year anniversary on iTunes and two years as a podcast. In honor of their achievment and with the help of Little River Band's song Happy Anniversary I doctored up the Karoke track and made it my own. :) It now sings-- Happy Anniversary Ladies, your cast is on my mind. Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Shut up and let's just go (to the Star Trek movie)

Shut up and let's just go!

New years eve 2008 I saw the Tink Tinks live and thought, what a strange song! Then after hearing all the complaining about the new Star Trek movie I wanted to scream "Shut up and let's just go to the movie!" and thus, this song was born. I think the new movie is going to be great, but hey folks, just relax, more trek is good. Let's just wait to see it before we freak out. Enjoy! Click here for the lyrics.

Robot Gunslinger Cowboy

Robot Gunslinger Cowboy

Growing up eight miles out of town on a little farm gave way for me to have quite the fantasy life. I would use the riding lawn mower as a shuttle craft, the farm became my alien planet and my dog was my partner. After watching the movie WESTWORLD I was glued to the screen. It combined the joy of westerns with the thrill of science fiction. It had every elment I loved from robots to guns, to computers and future vehicles. It was amazing. So from then on I wanted to be just like one of the stars of the show Yul Brenner. He was the robot gunslinger cowboy. Thus the song. I wanna be a robot gunslinger cowboy. Enjoy. Oh, and let m know what you think. moyer777@comcast.net

We won't get fooled again

We won't get fooled again

Rico reviewed the Deep Space Nine episode Apocalypse Rising. It is one of my favorite DS9 episodes. I love seeing Odo, Sisko and Chief Obrien in Klingon garb. Very cool. Well anyway all that to say Odo was fooled into thinking that Gowron was a changling. So I parodied the Who's "We don't get fooled again" with "We won't get fooled again" I think you will enjoy this song with lots of clips from the show!

Geekiest Things

Geekiest Things

Christmas time is here.... so I took the Sound of Music song and made it more geeky. Enjoy!

We will Spock you!

We will Spock you!

Watching the original series of Star Trek is such a treat. One of my favorite characters was the green blooded alien/half human SPOCK! This song goes out to my homie Spock, may he live long and prosper! Enjoy Queen's We will rock you, now affectionatley named "We will Spock you!

RPG Writer

RPG Writer

Kenny and Jen are the moderators of the Treks In Sci Fi RPG Star Trek game. They are pretty darn amazing, and to their credit the game simply rocks! We have so many talented writers that work on the script of the show that I just had to do a tribute for them all. So thanks to the Beattle's Paperback Writer, I thought I would write and sing all about the RPG writer. Enjoy.

I've got Trek under my skin

I've got Trek under my skin

My friend Rob from Orlando, Metron7 on the Treks in Sci Fi Forums, did an arrangement of "I've got you under my skin" with his cool keyboards. Anyway, he let me use it as a soundtrack for my version called "I've got Trek under my skin" I will be posting the Bill Murray remix in a few days, and think you will get a kick out of it! Rico is reviewing the DS9 episode "His Way" and with Vic Fontain being on the show, I just couldn't resist! Thanks Rob for everything, and I hope everyone enjoys this!

T.N.G.

T.N.G.

AC/DC can play four chords like no other band. I'm not much into them anymore, but some of their classics live on. Rico covered the very first episode of Star Trek the Next Generation at Treks In Sci Fi and inspired me to do a Star Trek parody song to AC/DC's song TNT. As I started humming the song, TNG seemed most appropriate. I remember watching the premier and just being giddy. The Enterprise was back, but this time it had a whole new crew! OH BOY!  We would huddle around our TV set on Saturday nights to catch the latest installment of Star Trek: The Next Generation. So I borrowed some clips from the show Encounter at Farpoint, added some from another episdoe and then tried to put as much grit into my voice as possilbe. Yes, my throat was sore for the evening after recording. What came out is what you hear! :) So enjoy this week's song called "TNG" it's outta site!

Get into the Gate

Get into the Gate

Ten or so years ago a series was made for television that took sci fi to a new level. Startgate SG1 emerged as a great weekly dose of geekiness and humor. The chemistry between the characters was simply awesome. This song celebrates both SG1 and Atlantis, the spinoff. My friend Rob Scalise from Orlando Florida did the synth and drums, I played guitar and did all the vocals. We did a Skype call together and I sang what I was hearing, he graciously went to work in his studio and sent me the raw keyboard files and drums. Then I grabbed my guitar, fired up my mic and sang! The first version was recorded wrong and I had to redo the entire song in a higher file format. It was really fun working with Rob. Thanks Rico for reviewing Stargate. http://www.treksinscifi.com You rock man! Isn't the Internet cool? " Dial home Daniel!"

It's the Mirror Universe

It's the Mirror Universe

All through it's run Star Trek has experimented with the cool Mirror Universe episodes. I'll never forget the day the crew materialized on the transporter pad to see Spock with a beard! How cool! Anyway, I took Louie Armstrong's famous rendition of "It's a wonderful world" and made it to reflect our geekiness. "It's the mirror universe" after all. :)

Freakasaurus

Freakasaurus

One of my favorite Voyager two parters is "Future's End" - you know, with Starling, The mobile emitter, B sci fi movies, Goliath Gulps, Burritos, militia, it's all hilarious! When I heard the Rico was coveing it I simply remembered Sarah Silverman calling Tuvok a "Freakasaurus" and thus, this song was born. Heheheh. Enjoy. Yo Yo, Sarah Silverman called you a Freakasaurus!!

It's year three

It's year three

Rick Dostie has a wonderful podcast all about Star Trek and Science Fiction. I found out he was doing his third anniversary show and couldn't resist doing a little tribute to him. It's to the Beattle's tune "Let it be" it's called-- It's year three. Enjoy!

Just the two of us

Just the two of us

This song was inspired by the Voyager Episode "Tuvix"

Ship in a bottle

Ship in a bottle

This song came about when Angela and Jen hijacked Treks in Sci fi and went for a ride on the Internet. KTRK radio played this hit all about the TNG episode, ship in a bottle. It of course is to the tune of Jim Croce, Time in a bottle. Have fun. :) Ah, yes, I got to use the words Heisenberg Compensators . If that isn't fun, I don't know what is.

Gamma Hydra IV

Gamma Hydra IV

The Deadly Years is a classic TOS episode where the main cast plus and extra all start to age after being eposed to something or another. The makeup for the time was great, they really made the cast look old. I took the Beatles song "When I'm sixty four" and of course made it a review of the episode. I calle it Gamma Hydra IV. I got to use the word Corbomite.. heheh. I have always wanted to use that. Please enjoy and let me know what you think!

Humans Playing Dom Jot

Humans Playing Dom Jot

This song was inspired by the TNG episode "Tapestry" I have always enjoyed Pat Benatar, her music rocks, but trying to make Star Trek come alive in it was a challenge. My favorite scene in this particular episode is when the Nausican says.. "Play Dom Jot Humon?" It stuck with me, and well, the rest was history.

Life is just a holodeck

Life is just a holodeck

Reginald Barclay is perhaps one of the best reoccuring characters in TNG. What a goofball. I loved this episode of Hollow Pursuits. I loved Aldo Nova growing up and couldn't resist doing a cover with some clips from this episode, and "Life is just a Holodeck" was born. Enjoy.

The Enterprise

The Enterprise

The Brady Bunch theme song has been spoofed more times than I care to admit. When Rico reviewed Mudd's Women, I just couldn't resist. And there you have it.

Anti Gravity

Antigravity

The least favorite of my parody tunes, this is a Billy Joel tune Honestly, done for the episode of DS9 Melora. It speaks for itself, now if I only had the chops like Billy.

Starfleet Uniforms

Starfleet Uniforms

I remember watching Shreck and hearing the song Hallelujah. Wow, cool tune. So I couldn't help combine my love for that song and starfleet uniforms. Go figure!

Another One Becomes Us

Another One Becomes Us

Another clip tune, Queen's huge hit "Another one Bites the dust" gets a makover. In tribute to First Contact, the TNG movie, this is all about the Borg. "Another one becomes us!" Resitence is futile. :)

Alteration

Alteration Time

I love how Star Trek thinks outside of the box. There are many times that Starfleet would have people hidden amont alien cultures. They would alter them to look like the crowd they had hidden in. Well, on a cool Star Trek RPG game that I write in the away team needed to be altered to look like the local population. Thus, the song Celebration came to my head. Talking to my friend Kenny M, we thought it would be funny. Thus Alteration was born. Enjoy.

Shuttlepod one

Shuttle Pod One

My son Nathan (from the Father and son review) do a fun Gilligan's Island theme song for the Enterprise Episode Shuttle Pod One. heheh.

The Love Ship

The Love Ship

How many have never watched the Love boat? Captain Stubbing brought us hours of soap operaish comedy. Well, in the Enterprise episode called "Fusion" Captain Archer runs into a bunch of Vulcans experimenting with emotions. Well, it didn't take long for me to come up with this song. The Love Ship. Set your course for adventure!

The Rag Tag Fugitive Fleet- original music and lyrics by Rick Moyer

The Rag Tag Fugitive Fleet

I was blown away by Battlestar Galactica as a kid. It was the most cool show ever. I wathed every episode as many times as I could and I took my Montgomery Wards cassette recorder and recorded the audio, then listened to them went I went to bed. Yes, this was before the VCR. Man, what a cool show. So, this was my tribute to it. I used a synthesizer and my computer to record the music and do the vocals. I hope you enjoy. Word.

The Buck Rogers in the 25th Century Tribute (trance mix)

The Buck Rogers in the 25th Century Tribute (trance mix)

I loved this show when I was a kid. It's kind of corny to watch now, but that how it goes. Gill Gerard wasn't the best actor, but oh Wilma! :) I think you will enjoy this tribute done in the style of 25th century musical style complete with cool synth and light hoola hoops. Dance away, and get your boogie on.

Turkey Fen

Turkey Fen

I don't know about you but sometimes I wish it was Thanksgiving all the time. Add a rave style keyboard and some strange computer voices, and this is what you get!
