About me (Amy), this year marks the graduation of my first student (Nathan.) I sent my second student (Andrew) off to college and am starting my 3rd student (Catherine) on jr. high course work. We have been doing something fun now that I only have one student left at home. She has Bible, PE, Language Arts, and pre-algebra in the morning and in the afternoon we delve into projects for the rest of the subjects. For social studies I recently gave Cat the assignment of researching ten different countries in Europe that she would like to visit and give me specific cities and at attractions in each. She told me she wants to go to England with me before she gets married. I guess I haven't done too bad a job home schooling if my student wants me to travel with her to Europe. I'm hoping our trip will include high tea and a trip to the Jane Austin Museum in Bath. I have been taking a break from the church work the last couple of months and concentrating on my relationships with God and my family. Rick and I went away for a week just the two of us and that was very nice. We went to Yelm of all places. It is actually a cute little town. It was a wonderful break from teaching, and housework. I still enjoy doing yard work when the weather permits, flower arranging, and love anything to do with design. I finished Nathan's scrapbook in time for his graduation party and need to get started on Andrew's. I am looking forward to hanging out with friends and family more when the weather improves. Until then I'm glad to have my family warm and safe in our snug little house.
